     Im still not sold, what else can this unit do?

    Dual intake? No Problem.

    Do you know why it is not adviseable to use a dual intake on the 300ZX?

    Because the stock ecu is not able to adequately run a Dual intake setup without considerable drivability issues, therefore it is not advisable for anyone in the lower hp territory to install dual intakes because the compromises   vs. advantages are not very reasonable. But your Z WILL benefit from dual air intake.

     The VG30DE and TT V6 engine was designed to run as two entirely separate halves. This was what nissan   engineers had in mind when the Z32 was designed. 2 separate intakes, 2 separate turbos, 2 separate exhausts. So it only makes sense that separating the 2 intakes at the Air Filter will benefit this design.

    Even an NA Z32 will benefit!

       (Our Simtec Motorsports NA  test car gained power from just going to a dual intake).

    And, not only will you be able to run a dual intake setup on your Z with this EMS, but you will not need your MAF. That means you can sell some of your stock EMS parts such as your MAF and recoup some costs (est -$90).

     How about a handheld programmer which will no only work everytime you need to change a setting (unlike the very problematic laptop tuning that most standalone systems utilize) but it can also fit easily in your center console so you can make changes anytime you need to.

     Valet mode? If you absolutely have to hand your Z over to someone who just may want to take it for a joy ride , no problem. Drop the revlimit to 2500rpm faster then it took you to read this line and all without leaving the drivers seat. Or drop it to 500rpm for an anti-theft function and your car will not be able to be started, period.

    Tired if dealing with your Z's erratic idle? By now im sure you know all about the Z32's erratic idle problems. Tired of replacing those costly aac and iac hoses? Why dont we just remove the system all together? This EMS has its own cold start enrichments so there go some more problematic parts off your Z.

    Speaking of trouble, have you changed your EFI harness yet? If not, you are going to need to replace that sooner than later but you will no longer need to worry about that. (you just saved another $300+ not to mention not having to pull your engine out to replace the harness)

     Immediate tuning ability... with a quick flick of a knob, add or remove up to 50% fuel. This is a useful feature, when fuel maps may need to be temporarily adjusted across the board.

     Tuneablilty...   This is a very very important factor.

    We Simtec Motorsports are a tuner shop that is dedicated to the research and development of the Z cars. We   are not a Z shop that happens to do some tuning. Please understand the difference.

    Now, whether you have us tune your Z or someone else, tuning rates can get considerably high. The ease of a tuneable system can save you upwards of $500 in the tuners fees for their time. I have personally had clients show up at their appointed time (on several occassions), and spend over 2 hrs trying to get a problematic system to work properly enough to tune. That's over 2hrs of tuning time spent troubleshooting a laptop and poorly designed software. Not only is this system extremely reliable, it is also very easy to tune saving you a considerable amount of money at the tuner shop.

     How   much is it and what do I get?

    Lets just say its a lot cheaper than other comparable units, and as mentioned above, costs can be offset by selling some of your stock components you will no longer need. i.e. you will no longer need your (MAF -$90, ECU -$120, CAS   -$100 AAC, IAC) plus the other amounts saved from not having   to replace the efi harness $300+, IACv hoses $80 totaling   approx. $700 in savings.

     The entire EMS unit starts at $1500.00 (for the early NA Z's 1975-1989) and goes up to $2000 depending on selected options. This   includes the individual cylinder knock retard setup.

    Thats not only extremely inexpensive, its unheard of for a unit of this caliber.

    Do I need this standalone unit, or is this for race cars?

    Even If your Z is only used for commuting, or taking out for the occasional drive then you need this unit.

    This is also recommended for the enthusiast who has a high hp Z and expects  to drive it without an expensive mishap. So No, you don't need a race car to utilize this, you just need to be an enthusiast that is tired of "road gremlins" costing thousands for simple repairs. This is also for that enthusiast that understands what you just read and how important it is to safeguard your engine while it runs at the 400, 500 and above horsepower levels safely.

  • We're now making reproduction grilles for the Fairlady Z.
    Please note, this is an upgraded design and not identical to the original piece.
    The original piece is made from very thin gauge stamped steel with a thin gauge screen. It's very flimsy and tends to bend easily.
    Our version is made with a boxed steel frame and heavier gauge tighter mesh design to keep the bugs out of the intercooler or radiator.
    It looks very similar to the original as seen in our comparison pictures.
    The pictures are of the raw product. Final finish will be primered or Satin black depending on your request.

  • We can handle all levels of repair if necessary. We've been handling extensive rust repair and structural reinforcing on the classic z cars for some time now. If you want it saved, WE WILL SAVE IT! Billed by the hour @ $65 hr.    
  • This is a very effective modification and acts as an ACTUAL brace stiffening the rear chassis of the Z car. Its superior in design to the Typical inexpensive (hinged braces that bolt together) that serve more of a cosmetic purpose then an actual performance one. These cars are now over 40 years old and with suspension upgrades (i.e. stiffer shocks and springs) it will only be a matter of time until the chassis starts popping the old spot welds and compromising the integrity of the monocoque design. This bar installs fairly easily and will give you a NOTICABLE difference in chassis strengthening. Not only will this strengthen the chassis and reduce flex between the rear towers, it also gives you a sturdy mounting location for a Camera Mount. The O.D. of the Bar is 1.5".   • Coilover set for the S30 chassis (240z, 260z, 280z) for all 4 corners with weldable strut insterts and camber plates. We are utilizing Powertrix' setup designed for the 300zx twin turbo chassis and retrofitted them to work with the S30. ...After initial testing on Simtec Motorsports' personal 240z this suspension layout has proven very effective in track conditons as well as comfortable for street driving with a softer setting. The shocks feature an INVERTED monotube setup with 15 way adjustability. Since they were designed for a chassis 1000 pounds heavier, durability will be a non issue. However, a warrantee will be offered on workmanship and these ARE rebuildable if they do eventually wear out so you will never need another coilover kit again. (Please note, these are not your cheap ebay inexpensive units, and attention to build quality is top priority for us). These are the best bang for your buck as far as what is currently offered.
    They feature an Independent Ride height and spring preload adjustment. Rebuild able or Replaceable Premium MONO-tube forged steel Strut body. Anti corrosive Zinc plated dampener housing. However, we can build you an assembly SPECIFICALLY for your car.
